What is a school counselor?

The role of McGuffey's Elementary school counselor is to ensure that each student strives to be his/her best and reach his/her fullest developmental potential through our detailed, balanced, evolving, and diverse counseling program. Our Global Competency educated school counselors help students by teaching them study skills, coping skills, and soft skills that will help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in the classroom. When to contact the school counselor with your concerns?

Please contact the school counselor with concerns about your child's academic, social, and personal well-being. We will work as a team to see the best approach to helping your child succeed. There are different methods of communication. Feel free to contact me by calling the office, emailing, or submitting a counselor referral form.
