Traveling WiFi at McGuffey School District
McGuffey School District recently had the opportunity to gain access to portable WiFi devices that are capable of broadcasting signals in locations that previously did not have access to strong mobile network signals. Kajeet is a company that specializes in providing Internet access to students in hard to reach places. These units work off of the cellular towers that can be seen everywhere we look. What makes them unique is their ability to access additional channels that cell phones typically do not use. These extra channels allow these mobile routers to connect in areas that don't typically have good coverage. McGuffey has identified locations across the district to broadcast these WiFi signals starting tomorrow May 13, 2020.
