Elementary Computer Teacher

McGuffey School District has an opening for an Elementary Computer Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Complete application is required. Requirements include, but not limited to: strong verbal and written communication skills, understanding of PA Core Standards, ability to differentiate instruction, strong classroom management skills. Must hold valid PA Teaching Certification and current clearances.

School Psychologist

McGuffey School District is accepting applications for a PA Certified School Psychologist. Details: Provide psychological-educational services to children and youth, grades Pre-K-12 to facilitate learning and development. The psychologist is responsible for evaluating, compiling/reviewing evaluations and re-evaluation reports, as well as consulting and serving as a resource to students, teachers, staff and parents as the school psychologist.

Requirements:

Certification as a PA Certified School Psychologist with current clearances.

New Posting

McGuffey School District is looking for a full time, 185 day cleaner for the 2024-2025 school year. This position travels between Claysville Elementary and Joe Walker Elementary daily, and the shift is from 2:30 pm until 10:30 pm. Travel mileage is reimbursed at the current federal rate. Cleaners are not scheduled in the summer, but may make themselves available for additional summer work.

No prior experience is necessary as training is provided. Clearances and a drug test are requirements prior to the first day of work. After a probationary period, individual health benefits are provided and retirement benefits are through the PSERS state retirement system. The starting salary is $15.75/hr. with annual increases. This position is a union position and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Custodial substitutes are needed for the 2024-2025 school year. The hourly pay is $13.50 per hour and no prior experience is necessary. Work hours are typically 3 pm until 11 pm, however, hours are flexible. Shifts as short as 4 hours are acceptable and the start time can be as late as 7 pm. Clearances are required prior to the first day of work.

McGuffey School District is also looking for Part-time School Police Officers.

Police Officers would be assigned evening shifts, after school events on a as needed basis in the McGuffey school district. Candidates must have: • Act 120 certified or • Graduate of The Pennsylvania State Police Academy. Successful applicants must provide law enforcement to district schools and protect employees, students, and property to create a safe and healthy learning environment. Armed School Security Guards would be assigned evening shifts, after school events on a as needed basis in the McGuffey school district. Candidates must have: • a current Act 235 certification card and completed the NASRO Basic Course (National Association of School Resource Officers).
