Each student is allowed to have a total of 10 parent excused absences per school year. As of 9/7/23 all excuses turned in with a parent signature will be marked as PE (Parent Excused) they were formerly marked as EA (Excused Absence). We hope this change in codes will make it easier to track how many parent excused absences your child has per year. 

Students are only medically excused when the school is presented with an excuse from a medical provider and only excused for the dates stated on the medical excuses written by the medical provider.

Interventions begin when a student accumulates 3 unexcused absences.
