With the College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) Program, students can experience the rigors of college level courses while still in high school.  “AP” on your high school transcript shows colleges you're motivated to succeed, and taking the exam demonstrates your commitment to tackle and complete college-level work. 

 

Each AP course concludes with a college-level exam.  Most two- and four-year colleges and universities recognize AP during the admissions process and accept successful exam scores for credit, placement, or both.  Below you will find a list of the AP courses offered at McGuffey High School with the date of the corresponding exam.

Calculus AB:  Monday, May 12, 2025 @ 8am 

Chemistry: Course not offered this school year.  

Computer Science Principles:  Thursday, May 15, 2025 @ noon.  Create performance task due April 30, 2025.  

Drawing:  NO EXAM.  May 9, 2025 (8 p.m. ET), is the deadline to submit 3 portfolio components in the AP Digital Portfolio.

English Language and Composition:  Wednesday, May 14, 2025 @ 8am 

English Literature and Composition:  Wednesday, May 7, 2025 @ 8am 

Physics 1:  Friday, May 16, 2025 @ 8am 

Psychology:  Friday, May 16, 2025 @ noon

United States History:  Friday, May 9, 2025 @ 8am
