Making the Right Call When Your Child Is Sick

New Immunization Requirments Starting August 2017

The Pennsylvania Department of Health made changes to the school immunization requirements and to the timeline for meeting these requirements. The new vaccination requirements intend to ensure that students are protected against potential outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases. Proof of current immunizations is required prior to school admission.

Medications

The McGuffey School District requires a written physicians order for ALL medications given during school hours. This includes all prescription medications, over the counter medications, supplements or topical medicaitons.

All medication must be delivered by an adult in its original container or pharmacy bottle.
