All Pennsylvania students are required to complete career readiness artifacts, build a career portfolio, and ultimately complete a career plan prior to their high school graduation. These requirements support the development of graduates who are ready to begin their careers. Much of this career development is coordinated by the school counselors, with support from the administration and teaching staff.
The Smart Futures career readiness program is currently in use at McGuffey School District for the purpose of meeting these career readiness expectations. This program was approved at the June 16, 2022 school board meeting.
