Vision and Culture

Vision and Culture Priority Challenge

A vision and culture of high expecations was initially identified as a priority challenge for McGuffey School District as part of the 2022-2025 Future Ready Comprehensive Plan (FRCP). As we prepare for the 2025-2028 FRCP implementation, vision and culture of high expectations has been identified as a continuing area of priority need. The below target goals have been established for estyablishing a vision and culture of high expectations, along with the corresponding action steps to achieve these goals.

Priority: The McGuffey School District will establish and consistently communicate a shared vision and culture of high expectations by aligning all practices, structures, and systems to promote success for all students, educators, and families. This will include implementing transparent accountability measures, offering professional development on high-impact strategies, and fostering inclusive partnerships to ensure every stakeholder believes in and supports their potential for excellence.

Data Driven Instruction

We will use common benchmarking and diagnostic assessments across grade levels at elementary and content-tested secondary classes in PSSA/Keystone-tested subjects.

We will use the common data to drive individualized instruction across the district to ensure all students show growth academically.

We will use a culture of data to drive instruction tied to State aligned curricular offerings to improve the growth and proficiency numbers that meet or exceed the statewide growth average and statewide proficiency averages for Math, ELA and Science.
